The new field, set to open in the spring of 2016, will feature a synthetic turf that will allow wheelchairs and walkers to move freely. With the installation of this field, the City of Roswell will be able to expand their adaptive programs to include additional athletics, such as youth baseball and softball, as well as enhance the experience of sport and recreation for those individuals attending the Summer Friendship Camps.

The Roswell Rotary Club has made a generous donation of $60,000 toward the project, which costs approximately $105,000 in total. In addition, the Roswell Recreation Association has donated $25,000, and a private donor has put forth $16,000 toward the project. The remaining funds will be donated by the Friends of the Roswell Parks, Inc.
