Atlanta Regional Commissions Water District

Even with the recent rains, much of metro Atlanta remains in a serious drought. The problem is that it simply hasnt rained enough, particularly north of Lake Lanier, to make up for how dry weve been these last few months. Lake Lanier, the primary source of water for most of the region, is eight feet below full pool, the third-lowest level on record for this time of year.

The Atlanta Regional Commissions Water District (non-profit) has launched an awareness campaign to spread the word about the drought and the outdoor watering restrictions that are in place for most of the region, in addition to encouraging people to reduce their daily water consumption by forty gallons.
