Woodstock Police Department Will Host 2018 National Night Out

The Woodstock Police Department, in partnership with other local public safety agencies, will join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the 35th Annual National Night Out, which will be held on Tuesday, August 7, from 6:00-9:00pm in The Park at City Center (101 Arnold Mill Road).National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for and participation in local anti-crime efforts, strengthen police and community partnerships, and send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are uniting together to fight crime.

This event will feature K-9 demonstrations; public safety equipment on display; Safe Kids Worldwide™, which is a nonprofit organization working to help families and communities keep kids safe from injuries; and additional activities for children of all ages. Food and drinks will be made available courtesy of Target and prepared by City of Woodstock Parks and Recreation Department staff. Music will also be provided by DJ Tim Cahill.

Other partnering agencies include the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services, Cherokee County District Attorney’s Office, Cherokee County E-911 Center, Holly Springs Police Department, and Woodstock Fire Department.
