Cherokee Recreation and Parks is hosting the 16th annual 5K Run/Walk on February 12th, 2022. The purpose of the run is to raise money for charity causes selected by both groups, Guns & Hoses. The charity for Cherokee Sheriff’s Office is Sheriff Frank Reynolds Charities which is dedicated to raise money through events and fundraising to help fulfill the needs of the people of Cherokee County and assist other charitable organizations who support our community. The charity for the Cherokee County Fire Department is The Goshen Valley Boys Ranch which is a non-profit home serving young men in the state foster care system. When registering, the runner selected the team that they wanted to represent and a portion of their fee went towards their chosen charity.
